New Lola hillclimb car

Post by 911hillclimber »

Posting here because so few look at 'Member's Others'.

Whiling away the winter weeks waiting for the car season to emerge, so following a suggestion by 9-1-1 on here decided to try to make a model of my Lola hillclimb car.

This is the last of my old model aeroplane engines that was gathering dust, so finally put into some good use. I think it is British and just about post WW2, spark ignition and super rare.

Not bothered to do a thread, just some pics of the results.

That is wonderful.
It looks brilliant.
Think the cornering might be less impressive with the narrow slicks

Cool, just do that to the full size version for extra lightness.

Thank you all for the kind comments. :alien:

The body was a bit of a tease!
I love doing these little cars and the challenge of doing them without a drg, just an image in my head, start at the front, get to the back. This is the 4th done, all kept 'in the family' for the years to come.

I only have one spark ign engine left and it is a really nice one so will not find itself in a car. :)

Time to do some TLC on the Real Deal!
