If the carpets are out I'd clean them in the bath with warm water and fabric detergent but be sure you have a good plan to dry them promptly, e.g. good weather. I wouldn't be surprised if colour washes out in which case you could dye them but that's unavoidable if you wash them thoroughly.

Hey thanks Rob. I’ve noticed a few parts that show some difference in colour probably to sun fading.
I think it’s usable and not bad but I’m wondering if I should just fit a new one. Purchased some interior stuff from lakewell and like their services. Good quality. So may opt to buy another.
Just unsure what type of carpet to go for. They do three qualities. And price varies. I know perlon is cheapest and that’s what came standard on a T model.

Hello all,
Just about done with doing roof lining job.
Can someone help, I’m going to fit leatherette to pillars when I get time. Do I overlap so seal over laps or do I fit up to door seal. My interior was scruffy so pictures were not helpful from past.

If it helps Lee, I am no stickler for originality, but when I did mine way back before these cars were valuable, I glued the black covering to the shell, a folded-over end at the top/bottom for a neat edge and then all the rest over the edges down the B pillar etc.
I imagine this would be how the factory would have done it, but just my take in your question.

Hi Lee,
This might be a bit late but I've just done the headliner on my 70.
I brought the material around the flat edge on the door frame, and finished the headliner on the return up to the first corner. So the rubber door seal will be glued directly to metal and the edge of headliner material sits up to that base of the seal.
I don't think it was a precise cut from factory anyway.

Hello Thomas I’m really hoping it will be this summer. Got slight delay. Front window seal perished and waiting on a new one.
Still got some electrical gremlins to work out but think it’s just cleaning paint from earthing ground areas.

Just noticed a small area of rear window metal strip come a little loose. What’s the best way to get it sucured back. I’ve been lightly using my hand to knock it back. Is the a tool that will help.
We are talking about an area of10 inches long. It’s still in the window but just a little raised.

Has it come out of the seal groove?
I’ve fixed that (luckily) in the past with someone pushing the screen from the inside to open the seal up then easing the metal back in.
Hard to do and might end up with the screen having to come out it if doesn’t work as it’s designed to go in first as you know.
