clutch lever piece
The piece that sits in the end of the clutch lever that the cable goes through. it's the piece that the adjustment nuts push against to keep the cable in place.
On the 914 this piece is quite short. the clutch cables are not perfectly sized which means there is a lot of wasted thread before things tighten up.
I saw an alternative mentioned (either here or the american site) which is longer. this means you get more adjustment without having to keep buying new cables so often.
i have a picture of the part suggested but there is no other info identifying which other porsche model that it came off.
hopefully I've explained things in an understandable way.
Thanks for any help.

Re: clutch lever piece
.
I seem to remember that the original 914 part was nylon & that people replace it with the Rennline alloy equivalent from the '70/'71 911 which looks like this:

Is that the part you were thinking of ?

Available from Roger Bray :
https://www.rogerbrayrestoration.com/sh ... connector/
- probably other sources too (including Porsche ?) - or the nylon version is part no. 911.423.212.00
