Unfortunately the twisty roads and some rather enthusiastic driving took its toll on a trailing arm mounting bracket and the journey back to England was not of the kind planned
Oh well !
At least i broke it using it

cool stuff can't wait till my new 912 motor is up and running as I think a nice long drive in Euro land is on the cards and pic's like this make me want to do it tomorrow
Thats bad news Tom, looks like the inner ear has gone. Do you know if it just cracked or is it coroded?
Great pictures nonetheless...trying to work out which other brit cars were there?

It has .

Bit of both . The ear itself is still attached to the trailing arm.....
it's just not attached to the car anymore

Excellent pics there - must have clocked up a few miles and on some smooth roads as well. good to see people using these motors to do some distance runs!
Got a wedding to go to in Majorca and I'd love to drive instead of fly but the costs difference i fear will be massive! Why is fuel so bl@*dy expensive in europe!
Something I'd love to do once my motor is sorted properly. Hopefully it wont be long before youre all fixed and back on track...

Seeing scenes like that get's me really excited about my forthcoming trip to France. Sorry to see the journey ended like that for you though, but like you say, you broke it using it hope you get it fixed up soon.
Looks like it was a great event - I'm sure it won't be long until the car is back up and running - same thing happened to a chap on the Giulietta Register trip to France last year, but as you say at least you were using it!
