Wish we could have sourced Mahle 10.3:1 CR b&p’s for 2.5 long stroke but seems they only make them for 2.5 short stroke and Sam won’t do zero deck height cylinder heads for the road. Nevertheless I’ve asked him to speak to Nick about how we might still achieve the no-debate 10.3:1 CR…

Also rear tyres may prove to be too large which mean a tad too much rake than desired. Factory tyre sizes were 215/60 front and 235/60 rears, with the rears no longer available the choice was 225 or 245 and I opted for the latter. I went large!

....purely through experience and measuring the timing Neil....I think!

Nick has told me it's all about set up for the type of use intended and the cams will be just fine and fit for the use it will see. Similar concerns were mentioned with the 2.5 short stroke in the Mongrel and that's absolutely fine.

Unfortunately it'll be a few weeks before I can confirm as such until Gary's finishes the RS on his ramp.

Just hope that's before they start salting the roads!

Paid a visit today to remind myself what my car looks like!

Untouched since the engine was fitted 8-weeks ago and it'll be a few more before Gary can get back on it! ....

...still, I enjoyed wiping off the dust and giving it a clean....
