More cool cars from Weedon Bec.
Is the MG a kit? Any idea what the engine is?

Rod Leach's Lotus 11 GT, alongside one of the many Cobras that have passed through his hands. I'd be happy with either of them...

The Cobra looks like it might be 'COB 1' - which, when I last saw it ~ 35 yrs ago had 800 bhp ...
I've got a few pictures of it somewhere (taken at Silverstone) .

I used to drool over Rod Leach's adverts... I wonder if anyone has had more Cobras pass through his hands than him?

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I used to love his adverts in Motor Sport, I bought a poster of COB 1 from Rod Leach's stand at the motor show in about 1982 - I think at Earl's Court - and got him to sign it. I probably still have it somewhere.Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 4:33 pm .

We’ve spent the weekend around the Suffolk / Essex border in the lovely Long Melford and Lavenham - no Porsche just in Katharine’s Countryman Cooper S

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I think cob1 was featured in the ‘ I spy’ number plates book I had as a young kid. Feature on it and owned by an elder lady who’d been done for speeding in it … as a youngster, that car in the book was my dream carLightweight_911 wrote:.
