could anyone advise where it is best to overhaul a 911SC speedo at reasonable prices?

what's wrong with the speedo, ?? I take it you have power and a earth to it, have you tested the 2 sensor wires from the box as some times the sensor in the box comes loose and/or the magnets fall out.
if I remember correctly you should be able to make a test using the RPM counter feed into the speedo, the Black/blue wire from the RPM counter
if not Speedy cables for check over

thanks , it was correctly wired ,i have the Porsche workshop manual , it needs refurbishing
