I never understand why someone goes to the expense and faff of building something like this and then leaves the donor car number plate from completely the wrong era on it . Surely even a cheap non dating Irish plate would look better than X reg !

Yes, it's a replica (biggest giveaway are the wheels) - looks like the version from Suffolk Sportscars ...

It’s a car that has slowed my pace immeasurably and in many ways.
Not a bad thing at all!

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Is it as big and overweight as it looks James? I like the concept but it’s kind of pole opposite to the original in everything other than shape

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
got to give result a bit of credit these days as I really like the look of the new 5 and this looks OK too ( considering the modern regulation restrictions put on designs )

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I really wanted the new 4 to be as good as the new 5.
But it’s not. The 5 hits all the nostalgia buttons.
The 4 misses mostly.
For example: although they are trying to ape that iconic 4L rear quarterlight design, it comes off looking awkward.
It’s actually quite a decent mid size SUV on its own though.
And they’ve shown a “Savane” styled . AWD concept 4L that I’d consider.
If I was in the market. Which I’m not.
And id still buy a new 5 over this, no doubt
