Work begins again!

All brakes, suspension, steering and other running gear parts to be checked, stripped / vapour blasted and painted as factory ‘72 S…

Testing Satin Black paint with different spray pressures (30 - 90 psi) and distances (15cm and 25cm) today to try and get the correct factory finish…

Wurth 2002 Satin gloss is what was recommended to me.
70T barn find...... to ST.

Not so much which brand of paint, but the spray pressure and distance to get the correct degree of fine stipple effect

Pedal box disassembled, parts passivated and replaced where required and ready for reassembly…

From new or when they repainted in 73, 74, 75, 78, 80 85, 89, 91 or maybe even one of the later repaints? :P :wink:

...plus of course you'll need 70's paint with a high lead content and choose between whether it was Hans or Fritz that painted the car that day! :compress:

Soz, only teasing and truly admire your dedication to the cause even when it's impossible to know!

I’ve still got a list of things to find Darren, including air from 1972 for the tyres! Although apparently it’s NLA!…

(For @IanM’s benefit: stripped, checked and vapour blasted and then painted satin black, zinc passivated or plated as necessary and then re-assembled.)
