Anyway I managed to take all the valvecovers off the car and re torque all of the headstuds. Also the the one loose barrel nut I found on cylinder number 6 torqued back on with no problems.
A full service and good clean and repair of my 3.2 dizzy using a 356 dizzy (yes true) my car is running better than EVER!!!
The car is smooth and responsive pulling hard to the redline and running so clean. The car has been transformed. Hooked up with Darren today at the ACE for some runs of our cars and man it was awesome to drive. Also sat in Traffic for an hour with no problems at all.
I'm ready for LeMans!!!!!
Speacial thanks to fellow DDk'rs Darren, Barry and Chris Turner who pushed me and helped me overcome the issues I had.
Cheers to Barry for finding the problem and advising to retorque the headstuds rather then cry quietly to myself in a corner.
Darren thanks for comming down and pushing me to wrench on the car and thanks to Chris Turner (who runs a Porsche workshop) who brought some spare dizzy's to his home after work for me to collect and use for parts. The 356 dizzy cured all.
This forum is great and the members all good chaps.
