It's always been one of my favourite 911's - haven't seen it 'in person' since Adrian Grundy owned it many years ago though ...

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Yes i know,as i have had some small involvement with the book, but sadly lot of info and photos are missing by a previous owner.
The early days info from porsche is/was sketchy ,it is a m491 &M471,but first one, dont know.Sadly there was a comprehensive file of a period restoration in italy before Grundy days.
The problem with books and internet, once in writing becomes fact and not always correct.
Looking forward to the launch of the book and a copy.

What was the first year M491 was a
factory option? I thought it was 1972 but this car suggests it was earlier…

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
I sold Adrian a 2.4S many years ago so he could have it rebuilt as an S/T replica as the real one was becoming too valuable to use . I think he bought my car for about £25k and at the time his S/T was around £120 ish !Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 10:11 am .

Really nice guy, I think he took three months off work, (teaching as I recall) to “work “ at Autofarm , sweeping the floors and labouring to help with the cost of the conversion.
