Hey folks,
Hoping the colective mind can help here. I have some 9x15 Mag minilites that never ended up on my 1971 S/T HTP build. Wheels are in great condiiton, no issues etc.
They are currently are under the bed in the guest room (moved house no garage now etc). Wife loves that set-up and i'm being encourage to shed these and other parts bin accumulated from the build.
Wheels at 9x15. I see values range widely.
What's current views from the collective minds here? Keep (parts bin if I do another build, going up in value, hard to find again etc) or move on and let some one get them on a car and enjoy them?

There is a very very small market for these wheels as technically they would only go on the 2.3T and the 6GT, as you probably know building a 71 ST. Anyway...how's that going.?
Most people also prefer to use the correct and less expensive 9 inch fuch that arrived in the spring of 1971 for there 72 ST builds. Personally i wouldn't run with the mag version and have chosen to use the Aluminium version. There lies the problem. I would put them up for sale myself.
Try the 911S registry in the US...that's probably your best market. Value... i have seen them sit around for years at 10k. Good luck. Dave

I agree with what Dave ('stretch') says but would add that times have also changed significantly over the past 5yrs or so in terms of many of Porsche parts that used to be highly sought-after.
I can remember when items like original 8/9in Minilte wheels, twin-plug distributors/caps, aluminium engine lids, etc would sell within hours of being advertised - often with a reserve list of names should there be any possibility of the original 'buyer' defaulting.
With the market in our cars seeming to favour 'originality' for achieving top prices, fewer people are tending to modify their cars - as used to be fairly common - apart from those who are building very accurate 'replicas', usually of a specific Factory competition spec.
This situation has been exacerbated by the availability of many 'repro' parts of very good quality/accurate appearance.
I'd be inclined to sell them now - & be prepared to accept less than you hoped they were worth ...

Hi Dave, Andy, Thanks for taking the time to reply and the points of view. Most appreciated! Very much agree with you both so that's some validation I guess and perhaps the nudge I need 
The build, well that was 4 years with all the up's and downs as a full nut and bolt job, but the end product was fab, 2.3 ST with HTP and signed off by Jurgen B himself! There is just a load of stuff that you accumulate as I'm sure you know and I thinking the time to stop storing it all for the last 3-4 years since the car was finished has now come. As you say perhaps a listing on 911S Reg may be the way to go.... Appreciated Gentlemen!
