On going forum access issues

Post by Bootsy »

It seems the server was attacked over the weekend - after a brief return to normality on Monday morning we were then attacked again

As of 4.50am Wednesday 13th - things seem to be working again. there is some monitoring taking place and active management of traffic.

My tech support has said:

'In an effort to safeguard the stability of your website, we are filtering the server traffic and actively monitoring for anything irregular.
Your website can be slower to load or unavailable at times, but this happens from certain locations only. In most locations around the world, the website is loading without any issues.Rest assured that we are currently working on having this matter sorted and when the filtering of invalid traffic is stopped, the website will start loading normally from all locations.'

So please bear with us

You don’t realise how much you value something until you can’t have it

Thanks for the kind words - I must admit at 5am this morning I was close to saying f*ck it!

It was an attack and could happen again so please if anything happens you'll know why!

As you visit over the next few days don't be alarmed if something is disabled or you can't access at some point

There will be maintenance being carried out from time to time and I may be testing settings to help eradicate the current problems

Remember you can always get updates on the forum status via the Facebook Page here https://www.facebook.com/diedeutschenklassiker

Or the Instagram page here https://www.instagram.com/die_deutschen_klassiker/

I tend to post updates if the forum is down on those.

Thanks for your patience

Hey, I know not that many of you are interested but a bit of context for you.

It's happening worldwide - forums are being hit, it's not just us or indeed something against Porsches

As with any attack it's a moveable feast! As soon as the community identifies ways to block them they circumvent and hit back so as I keep saying, bear with me and I'll keep fighting!

Thanks jb

More context - most of the chat on forum software support forums - yes they do exist - suggest it's all AI related - loads of bots crawling to feed the AI Engine's learning

I've installed Clouflare this morning to manage the Ai Spam bots - it should kick in within the next 24 hours - hopefully no downtime but just in case - you know!
