Photo favour

Post by tomgoodwin3 »

All,

Can someone do me a big a favour and take a couple of photos of the following:

Electrical connector at fuel tank sender unit

Electrical connector at reverse light switch on gearbox

Electrical connector at hot air blower in engine bay

I need to know what kind of terminals are used to connect the wires to the components concerned (mine have long since disapeared)

Cheers!

Tom, here is the tank plug. Don't know about the reverse & engine bay plugs becasue mine are also missing.

BTW its not rust just the reflected 'orange' off the nucular orange paint 8)

Thanks, that's one down... :-)

Looks like the same type of connector block as the one used for the fresh air blower unit.......which raises the question.....does anyone have a spare one (terminals included)???

Keep the photos coming :-)

Tom I did take pictures of the heater and fuel tank this morning but left the camera in the car  , here's one I took of the blower a while back, I've no idea if mine's correct or not but it works, infact i guess any spade connectors will work.

I'll be going underneath early next week so I'll get a few snapshots of the reverse light switch connectors for you :)

my reverse cables have male bullet connectors in to the rev switch if that helps, There should then be a rubber boot that protects from road grime etc. :)

Male bullets would certainly make sense for the reverse light switch. I was thi nking of fitting aftermarket ones but I'd like to see a pic of the original set-up (complete with rubber boot)if anyones willing to take one.

Cheers,

Tom - my cameras up the duff but the reverse light connection to the gearbox is just a pair of wires with bullet connectors plugging individually into two corresponding small sockets about 10mm apart on the switch on the side of the gearbox.
