On the way to Czechia we stopped in the Stolowe Natural Reserve.
This area was used for the Film of the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Unfortunately, cloud cover ruined the views. We crawled slowly through Polish Villages for 2 hours to get there. Unfortunately, it's been cemented. The route had handrails almost all the way around. I think I would say it much more interesting than The Roaches (in the peak district) but a little over developed. That said its a large park I'm sure there are other areas with 20 tourist shops
The weather crawled through villages for another 2 hours before getting on a good motorway. The roads in Poland are narrow and not marked in the middle. I had to stop or put a wheel off the road a fees things to avoid being clipped by a truck coming around a mountain corner. The Czech's road were better. The mountain roads were wide at the corners so much speed and easier passing of oncoming traffic. It's a stunning area and well worth a visit. Perhaps next time I will bring my bike

The rpm counter jumps when at idle haven't returned but I have bought a capacitor as Fred suggested. Plus I bought some cork to insulate the CDI and rpm adaptor from the metal bracket. I think heat was part of the cause.
Opening the rpm counter is a winter project and I may beg a friend to help
I've been a bit down for the last 2 days. I made the mistake of checking one of my retirement funds. From another smaller one I had checked before I thought the damage (from the financial mess) was 10-15pct looks like it might be 25/30. Which means working for quite a bit longer. Markets are super different to time. All the academic literature agrees and may experience of doing it full time as a day job almost agrees. I sold out all of my positions before the COVID drop but missed out on the bounce. This time is tried a different approach but I suspect no bounce. It actually really difficult to trade/invest your personal money as a full time trader as there are a lot of restrictions on what you do. For example any stock must be OKed by compliance and held for a month. A family member work in financial risk and is much more active than I am able to be!

Today we are in Brno's old town. Another gem. The price v quality are pretty good here for a western. Last night we had 4 cocktails and two mains for under £40. The quality of the food was so much better than our local pub. The apartment we are staying in is much cooler than our home and has a balcony (which I have been using to read on). It's an 18 mins walk from the main sq but we chose because of the parking. Any place to put on your list

We have visited the nuclear bunker in Brno. Here is the generator. I think that is a MFI in front of the engine?
Perhaps a time to remember that Professor Porsche has to pay a Czech engineer (who he was at school with?) for using a flat 4 engine.
I watched a video about the filter system for air. Which they were quite confident would work together. I'm not so confident it would of worked back in the day. One would the filters really of stopped radiation and what happened when you had to change the filter?

Maybe someone knows more about this story than me but I remember thinking the claim for rear engined and flat 4 was a bit vague but Porsche was willing to settle

I should of mentioned that Wroclaw the town we stayed in (previously) used to be German. Then after WW2 the entire boundaries of Poland we shifted East to West by the Russians and all the Germans were exiled from Poland. See the diagram below

Picked this magazine/model up in a newsagent in Brno.
I think the 804 and 8 cylinder engine is an interesting story in Porsche history. Not really a success story as the power wasn't enough and the engine took 100-250 hours to build. They continued with the idea and got more power. This produced Porsche's only F1 win but maybe that was because they other cars dropped out. Perhaps Porsche sensed they weren't going to be competitive in F1 and dropped out soon afterwards.
I think there was a young engineer on the 8 cylinder project called Hens Mezger.
Perhaps the complexity and lack of power in the 753 engine is that lead Porsche to develop the 6 cylinder?

Sad to be leaving Brno. In retrospective we would of spent less time in Berlin and more time here or Wroclaw.

Stopped in České Budějovice. About 2h44m to get there. South Bohemia. Started on a dual carriageway then great B roads. Amazing rolling green hills. Mrs B meet some locals playing Pokémon and joined in
I had to top up the oil with about 1/2l. I will monitor it over the next couple of days.
