You could of course have changed to just one battery for the 911 ................. maybe next time ??911hillclimber wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 3:47 pm Yes, I thought I had no points left after fresh slicks on the LOLA @ £1500 the 4.
Thanks for the link.
Found them on ebay a touch cheaper, £11.99, that will buy 1/2 cup of coffee tomorrow at the NEC....
Quite a Battery Fest, the new one for the Yamaha, new Bosch for the 911 pair and now some hi-tech charging in my garage for the 911 and the Boxster; what's going on?![]()

The one of the car’s pair is good.
The duff one is being replaced next Monday.
Starting this 911 on one battery sounds hard going.
Bike battery arrived today fully charged, 36 hours after ordering.
These battery people deliver very quickly.

Was supposed to be taking it to France yesterday, but that didn't quite work out. Took it to the beach as a wee treat this afternoon instead.

Drive out to Ruston Hall for a meal with my Mum. Then I thought I was check the tune when I got back but everything is in spec. Carbs still balanced and mixtures correct. It just needed a good drive and the engine getting up to temperature.
Great day to be driving an old car

Dropped my Daughter back at Uni this afternoon, which means a sunset run across the Peaks. There are worse places to be

Stunning weather for a run to Croft with Phil in his 996 to watch the touring cars test session.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Just back from a 624 mile round trip to Norfolk.
Never been before, but a 3 day trip for The Birthday Boy in the Boxster of course.
Glad we didn't use the 911 now...
Great sunny weather, nice part of the world and remarkably FEW potholes!
The roads are like billiard tables
Stayed at a pub with 4 rooms, and this is easily the busiest pub I know, car parking is non existent after 4.00pm though arriving on Mothering Sunday did not help the game.
Usual boast of 36 mpg average on E10.

Looks like you took up at least 3 car parking spaces in that shot?911hillclimber wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 5:32 pm

Helped a pal with his T2 earlier. Any excuse to get the 964 out in decent weather.
