1972 2.4 S Coupe missing jack/screwdrivers
Hello the DDK collective.
Has anybody got a lollipop style green/yellow dot jack that they are willing to sell me please.
Also on the look out for the missing screwdrivers from the tool kit, any help in locating greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
John

Hello John
I’ve got the screwdrivers available as a separate item. Sorry, I don’t have a jack.

Regards
Mike

Re: 1972 2.4 S Coupe missing jack/screwdrivers
My owner’s manual for my ‘72 S shows an earlier non-green dot jack which is what I have in my car:

'72 S 230 0347 (unrestored, concours-winning Tangerine unicorn)

Well that’s thrown a spanner in the works I thought it came with the green dot type of jack. Thank you for the link to Tuthils.

Yes but I’ve seen a lot advertised as 71 on wards, it’s so confusing. I hope the jack Police are along soon to put me right !

I think it might not be 100% clear cut - much like toolkits! I just know what was in my car and take comfort from the pictures in the manual…

Re: 1972 2.4 S Coupe missing jack/screwdrivers
Correct - there are certain parts - particularly 'non-attached' items like toolkits, jacks, etc where there is no definitive answer.
However, in general, it's accepted that models built up to the end of 1971 came with the earlier Bilstein jack shown in the drivers' manual (posted by Matt above) whereas cars built from Jan '72 onwards came with a Bilstein 'Green Dot' jack ...
