hydraulic chain tensioners - sound like a leading question!?

Post by 23e Heure »

Would you expect your engine note to sound different having changed from standard tensioners to Carrera ones?
More whiney?

Sound like the new tensioners are running the chains tighter, hence the whiney noise.

What is correct? Who knows! :) Sorry for the unhelpful advice

Hello there.

No ....I must express some concern here..

I would first turn the engine over by hand, you may have a shock with what you hear from the chain boxes...

I'd take it back to the rebuilder pdq .....

Kind regards, and good luck.
