Weather dry and some sun here today in Oxfordshire. Ideal weather to go for a drive. Apparently even better weather to clean windows. Bugger.

Used it twice this week!
Little event at work on Tuesday:

Then back out today for a little valentines trip to a Welsh pub
About to go up on stands tomorrow so I can pull the rack off for a rebuild and to sort the oil leak!

Bought these sporty little numbers!
Oh and sat in Kwik Fit for 2 hours. On the plus side I used the time wisely, I am over half way through Ferryman’s 74 Carrera resto thread.
Fell in love with his car at our big day out to C&M last summer and am loving the story. Made about 10 pages of notes so far for mine so far!

What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Finally managed to take both the 2.4 and 964 out as the immediate roads around us were salt free. Every year I say the same thing, not driving them over winter does them no good
.
Reversed the 964 out of the garage to find it had left a nice little 20mm dia puddle of oil under the centre of the engine
… then first few proper accelerations through to the red line it didn’t pull smoothly at all and felt like it had 2 big flat spots …. This cleared itself eventually once a bit of heat into it ( no idea what that’s all about )
Then time for the 2.4, it started up and was rough, running on maybe 5 cylinders and ran like that for about 6 miles until about the 5th full redline pull it cleared its guts and then was fine . Assume fowled plugs or a sticking injector .
Either way these cars don’t like being left over winter without being run. Frustrates me too . Last year had the same thing with a different oil leak on the 964.
Anyway, 964 is getting serviced next month in prep for a busy year so will have a look at the oil leak then

Hi All
First drive of the year (yesterday) in the 550 ‘Rep’, Christ it was cold, ice cream levels of brain freeze…
A few missed (wrong slotted) down shifts but a smile as wide as Coniston Water!

Charged the battery in my 356 but only noticed after an hour I had it on the 12v setting. Trying again now but it's been going for hours. Hopefully, I haven't cooked it

Stunning weather so drove all 3 this afternoon. After last weekends Italian tuneup the 73 is running great again. Next tank of fuel it’s going to get a shot of injector cleaner.
964 all seems good , although not convinced the Michelin tyre have as much grip as my previous Bridgestones
Spyder, objectively a better car in all ways to the aircooled, and today was the prefect day for it . It is a great car, but emotionally the 911’s win
