I can't post pictures as i don't have online photo storage.
I received the relay kit this week and am a little confused by the instructions.
It has 4 wires
red 87 spade terminal on solenoid
yellow 30 to battery + on solenoid
blue 86 earth
brown 85 solenoid ignition (yellow on car)
no wire 87a not used
Is 30 to the ring terminal?
is 87 to the lower unused spade?
is 85 doubled onto the ignition spade on the solenoid (top spade)

This diagram might help. I have a relay on my 356.
I connected 30 to the big positive power cable that connects to the starter (rather than trying to go back to the battery using another wire).
The idea is that the starter draws current not through the ignition switch but directly from the battery. I believe the push button on here is the ignition
