New Year - old question... Insurance
My insurance comes up for renewal at the end of the month.
I know there's plenty of threads on this but hey, why not start another!
Currently with Hagerty. I have 4 cars on agreed value (911, 993, 986 and VW Bus)
Now... Hagerty were a DDK supporter for many years and I used to deal with Charlie who was a great guy, knowledgable and helpful. He seemed to have gone when I tried to contact him last year and Hagerty pulled their support so I'm in a neutral position of looking at options.
Experiences and suggestions please.

Re: New Year - old question... Insurance
My experience with Hagerty has been excellent in the past, but unfortunately I don't think that is what they are nowadays. I recently sold my 912, called to let them know and get some of the policy refunded. I have my 1987 VW bus with them as well. Porsche agreed value 4x that of the VW.
I expect to get stiffed when cancelling a policy but got 12 % of the total premium back after 6 months cover. Their reasoning, the VW is younger than the Porsche so worth more..... So why have an agreed value policy. That left a sour taste so I'll be looking elsewhere come Easter time.
It would be good to hear from any members in the insurance business....

Re: New Year - old question... Insurance
Just got a renewal quote from them - no pain getting it and competitive.
I've chased my renewal quote from Hagerty - this time last year they'd already sent it and I'd renewed.

Re: New Year - old question... Insurance
You should speak to them about being club insurers if others not. They are TIPEC and 911UK insurers I think.
Darren Coote who used to be there was a Porsche owner and great but he's at Brentacre now who have become a good hotrod insurer.
Ian Fray who owns it has had it since the 80's in Hinckley - pop and see him when next in Notts and stay at mine. I've used them since 90's and always really really competitive, include free trackdays and were amazing on a claim.
(I was with RH for years also till recently but they changed underwriter a few years back and just got a bit more expensive than Classicline for many vehicles)

Re: New Year - old question... Insurance
tbh if you say youre a member you'll probably get club discount. personally I use Locktons, possibly not the cheapest but have had excellent service
