Bought a more modern glow plug engine and silencer to get more of a comic look to this one.

Going to be a Xmas pressie for a special couple in the family.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

The engines might fire...
The first one is from the lathe 1940's so not to sure, but the second one is a 70's Irvin glow, a huge capacity and would definitely run at quite a rate.

Both cars all Show and no Go.

Just a bit of garage tinkering fun, don't take too long to make, about 2 days using mostly bits in the garage left over from doing the Lola.

I've really enjoyed making them both have to admit, thinking of making a silly motorcycle as a 'third'.

I get very bored over these winter months.

Thank you both for the kind remarks.

Late '60's, early '70's I had a part time job as a pump attendant to supplement my normal employment.
Pay was 25p an hour and I worked 2 or 3 evenings plus Saturdays.
Met the lady who became my wife at the pumps....

I'm sure that was 'tongue in cheek' but if not, it's George Harrison ...

In 1969 I was on my first Lambretta, fresh out of 5th year and into a formal 5 year apprenticeship.

3 gallons was about the rate for £1 if you include the Redex 2 stroke shot added to the tank before filling up with about a gallon.

I was paid £5 a week, £2 to my parents for Board and lodgings and the rest for me..

IIRC the roads were that quiet too. :)
