Hello,

The bottom of the car floors needs to be black undersealed. Can someone tell me if the bottom valence is black for a 69t

I can’t remember.

I’ve been trying to find a definitive answer Lee for a 69. It’s not been easy as of course it always covered by the front spoiler on a finished car so I was trying to locate another resto thread somewhere but to no avail. Certainly on a swb (67S for sure) it’s black and on a later 73 body colour but I’m not sure about a very early 69 (which yours is). I’ll keep looking and I’ve asked Brendan to look at his very original early burgundy 69T.

Regards
Mike

My first 911 was a '69 911E - found a picture of it during strip down (30+ yrs ago) & that area was black.

Can't guarantee that it was like that from new but much of the Light Ivory paint was original ...

Thanks guys by the looks of the that picture it’s looks black at the front for the front tub.

I may be inclined to go with that considering it will protect it further.

Can you confirm I’m correct with the picture?

Thanks

Yes Lee, as I said above, that area was black on my '69 911E but I can't guarantee that it was Factory-applied ...

I all the panels back on today. A true milestone for me. Been 20 months since I stripped the car.

Looking good Lee, best part of the resto is a painted shell! Great work.
