turbo tie-rods?

Post by hot66 »

Anyone fitted the turbo tie-rod upgrade to their early 911?

Is it worth while?

I have fitted (or bought cars with them already fitted) turbo tie-rods to several early 911's.

However, this was not the only modification carried out - the cars in question had uprated torsion bars, antiroll-bars, Bilstein struts/shocks, lowered suspension (1-1.5"), increased negative camber, wider/lower profile tyres, etc so I can't really comment on what the fitting of turbo tie-rods on their own would do to the feel of the car.

Beware though that there are lots of inferior quality turbo tie-rod kits out there (especially on ebay).

I am looking to put these on my 912 as it is a 69 LWB model I have heard alot of negative comments for 12'er's but on the whole any improvement in the set up has to be a good thing. I am also when I get 5 putting on the SC set up so I can upgrade the brakes as well.
