New to ddk...

Post by jonnoshore »

Been into 914s for a while on the 914 register / 914club but did not know about this site... Anyway was at the VW Porsche show at weekend and met two nice 914 owners there... They put me onto this site... Result!

Anyway my car is nearing completion... Hence my Wanted posts... i.e. 1 Rivera alloys (or complete set of other 4 studs - Kev) and cold heater box / blower.

My car.

David,
pm sent...

All,
I'm from Chelmsford, Essex... but not originally. I am also an automotive engineer for a local OEM.

The car is getting close to being complete... Just needs wheel(s) and MOT.

Some more 914 p*rn... A lot of these pictures are pre-welding work so are ~9months old... I will upload some more recent ones to Photobucket.

You don't work for Johnson Controls by any chance??

Next time I'm back home visitng my parents I'll have to stop by and check out your 914.

My bet is Ford at Dunton, one of the few places left in the UK where a vehicle engineer can work, for the moment anyway

Kev,

The paint was painted in the last 2-3 years... but graraged since then and yes it's in very good nick similar to your car.

In good nick above the sills when I bought it. Now below and inside also.

Now all rust cut out and welded/painted/sealed.

left to do for MOT...

A steering rack bush
cold vent box
wheels

The rest can wait until after the MOT.
