UJ for driveshaft with 33 teeth?

Where can I buy the UJ that has 33 teeth. Everywhere seems to have 25 teeth. The only source I've found is sold out!

Neil, I recall having the same issue with early 912 CV joints and shafts.. there is a lot of info on 912BBS around this and potential replacements from other veedubs, super beetles etc.

Quality of aftermarket parts is variable these days. Folk say the empi ones are trash.

If yours are serviceable, flip them side to side? It may be your best bet.

I did find some drive shaft and CV spares for my 912 that I bought up as an emergency stash. I'll dig them out and have a count.

I'm not familiar with 914 shafts and CV's are they common to VW type 4s or more porsche orientated?

Yes I think some of common. I think the best beat to to buy the 33 ones and just use the outers from those. This is what my mechanic did on the other side

Sorry Neil, I’m not completely clear on this. What did 914s come with originally 25 or 33 tooth cv joints and driveshafts? Are you going to buy all new driveshafts?

Neil, I looked.out my spare gkn loebro drive shafts and CV joints. They are 33 spline. GKN Part number is 300638. Porsche no. 901 332 026 11. They are for 911/912 upto 68 so likely of no use to you?. Matt
