These are 'zero offset' pistons, meaning the wrist pins (gudgeon pins) are not offset in the piston - this reduces side thrust on the piston for reduced friction but does result in slightly increased 'slap' when cold (more noticeable when used with a 78mm crank).
Along with this is a set of AA 5.158in H-beam chrome-moly H-beam con-rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts - 2.0 914/Type 4 journal.
With a 71mm crank, this combination will give you a bullet-proof 2056cc engine or, with a 78mm crank, will give you 2258cc. Approximately 5000 miles use.
Included in the sale is a set of custom-made cylinder spacers for use with the 78mm crank, along with a set of chrome-moly pushrods which 'may' be the right length for you when used with a 78mm crank. I say 'may' as every engine differs slightly...
At today's prices, with shipping, VAT and duty, new these would set you back over £1900 (see attached screengrabs) SOLD
Used 'shallow' sump extension for Type 4/914 engines, which uses a Type 1 (beetle) sump plate - complete with fittings but lacks the extension for the pick-up pipe, which is solely a short piece of steel or aluminium tube held in place with a Jubilee clip.
New these cost over £200, so how about £100 inc postage in the UK? Now £75

Finally, pair of flapper valves and heater pipes for 914 - one original clamp was missing from my car, so I fabbed a replacement which you can see in the pic. £100 for all inc postage in the UK. PROVISIONALLY SOLD
