If it is pvc type, which I think it is, try Tesa 4163 25mm x 33m. £6.50 on RS

Agree, cant' be Tesa felt tape for bumpers. The felt tape is for loom wrapping and only really 'sticks' to itself.

Thanks Darren!

I’m going to see how they’re getting on this week - front flares too hopefully!

So having got my donor steel bonnet back from Silver911SC and sanded umpteen layers of paint off it back to bare metal and then a coat of welding primer, Phil at Greatworth has put it back on the car again, with perfect 3mm panel gaps all around…

And the matching pair of steel-skinned early (no crash bar) doors I bought a couple of weeks ago have also been media blasted of surface rust, primered and put on the car.

Apart from a small hole in the lower front corner of the skin of the left side door needing a proper metal repair (no filler please!), they are in extremely good condition top to bottom, inside & out:

Do you have enough adjustment to close the door to the wing as the rear gaps looks great.

I would hope so Graham! Otherwise Phil will need to do it again! But I have faith in his metalwork genius…

To hell with authenticity, I would add the crash bars back in.
