Cobra Classic seats: opinions sought
Has anyone tried the Cobra Classic RS and RSR seats?
I’m currently thinking of one of these for me (driver):

and one of these for passenger:

Any opinions on the quality of these seats would be most welcome.
Cheers.

I can't comment on the RSR ones but you're right to want more lateral support for the driver than the RS ones - I have used those and they're a nice and comfortable seat but lack a bit of side support IMO

Re: Cobra Classic seats: opinions sought
I have that style of seat in my 3.2 hot rod, which to be fair has 10 inch tyres on the back and eight on the front so it creates quite a bit of lateral G. Even if I throw the car around a bit, they hold me very nicely, and they're comfortable, but I notice they don't hold the top half of my body as well as more modern seats, with the result that I'm bracing against the steering wheel a bit, and it does make controlling the car a touch more complicated. This is not the case if you have a multi point harness done up tight, which i do if im driving like that. I have both a harness and a regular seat belt, and I find myself reaching for the more convenient seat belt 95% of the time in on road driving.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Thank you Bootsy and Rob for your replies. I expect to add a harness too, which sounds as though will be needed.
I'm interested in the quality of the Cobra seats too if anyone has experience.
Thanks again.

I have Cobra RSR seats in my 914 hillclimber. Superb is the only way to describe them. Lots of lateral support. I modified both of mine to accept five-point harnesses. Great looks, great seats.
