My foil paint I.D is still firmly stuck on my December 1969 built "S". And Dave you have already logged that mine is a foil I.D.davep wrote:I checked my data, and did find that late in the year the Porsche built cars did revert to the riveted paint badge. I guess that the adhesive attached badges fell off quickly, and the factory dropped the idea.

Re: Paint ID code plate
Excellent service from Ake - the new plate turned up today and it looks good.
Lets hope that I don't muck it up when it's re-stamped - and I haven't decided whether to use the original paint code or the new one.

Re: Paint ID code plate
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction for a paint ID plate for my '71 2.2T? Car didn't have this plate when I got it so not sure which is the correct type. Believe Karmann built car but not sure. A bonus if the supplier could stamp it as well.

Hi Mark,
Gary Cook stamped mine. Check with him if you haven’t already.
Kind regards

Re: Paint ID code plate
Actually, after a bit of going through old invoices- my plate did not come from Design911- I got it from Wojtek at Carbone in Poland- he still sells them, all versions:
