Before I first went abroad (in 1970 aged 7) I’d seen a similar picture in a ladybird book. I was shocked when we got to the airport and dad didn’t drive the car into the front of the plane

- & look at how much of the parking bay is taken up by that 'Yank Tank' in the centre of the picture ...
