Very fortunate new member from South Hertfordshire
Hi All,
Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. I’ve just taken ownership of the beautiful 1973 911E in Gemini that Tom (Tp81) has painstakingly restored over many, many years and feel very fortunate to be the beneficiary of such a meticulous build.
Looking forward to reading the wealth of information on this amazing forum and contributing where I can.
Darren.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes it is an amazing car that’s for sure. Looks and drives like a new car. I have read the restoration thread many times and can feel and see the results of so many decisions!Bootsy wrote:Welcome! You’ve got some car there

Drove it to work in Wycombe (through the lanes) and back yesterday and was a genuine pleasure to do so. Drives like a new car without a squeak or rattle and shifts pretty well as well!
Will probably take it to the Porsche Owners meeting in April at Denham Airfield which is just down the road from me.
Other than that, hoping for some fine weather soon!

Welcome to DDK. Very nice purchase. Tom left no stone unturned to rebuild that lovely E. You should have years of fantastic driving. I look forward to seeing the E out and about.

Keep an eye out for some DDK meet ups and drives . Have you had classics before ?77DE wrote:Drove it to work in Wycombe (through the lanes) and back yesterday and was a genuine pleasure to do so. Drives like a new car without a squeak or rattle and shifts pretty well as well!

The pre 73 event at Castle Heddingham should definitely be in your diary
We’ve got a big group,of us heading to classic LeMans this year if that’s your kind of thing too

Re: Very fortunate new member from South Hertfordshire
Hi, yes always had classics. Currently have a Ferrari F355 Spider manual in TdF blu in addition to the 911E. My Porsche history started with a 997.2 GT3 a while back and I normally have a 992 of some description as a daily.hot66 wrote:Keep an eye out for some DDK meet ups and drives . Wife has a Boxster as her summer car.
Will definitely keep an eye out for events.
Hoping to be going to Le Mans with Porsche Penske Motorsport, but probably flying there. Would love to drive down one year though.

Must admit I didn’t know where Castle Hedingham was until I just googled it! What date is the event?
