Valve covers are originals (NLA). Repros are not available as far as I am aware.
Greatworth Classics are undertaking the whole project for me, bar sourcing rare & NOS parts (which falls to me). Highly recommended.

Car looks like a great base, I too bought a car from Beverly Hills car club in 2018 but was over there at the time, test drove the car and inspected it on a ramp, chucked a price at him which he declined, flew home, chased him up a day later and price agreed, even arranged shipping for me at $1200.
Thing is with Alex Manos, he buys car as they are, does nothing to them and sells them as you see them.
Happy with 81SC I bought, solid chassis, no accident damage, previous engine work, needed new tires, a little paint and that was it, took it on a NC500 trip around the highlands and never missed a beat.

Here it is now, chucked the bonnet wrap on to protect from stone chips on the highland tour and ending up leaving it on.

Excellent progress on the body!
FWIW, I posted a few shots of the Porsche Museum ST here: https://www.early911sregistry.org/forum ... ead/page84

Thanks Jan!
I was there myself the day after the Strähle swap meet last year and was crawling all over that car!
Some unexpected - and arguably incorrect - details including Sparco extinguisher (presumably to meet modern FIA standards?), non-braided oil cooler lines etc, but good to see nonetheless. I think the factory bought it from Johann Dirickx?

Haha, the same naughty behaviour as mine!
Yes, a few surprises indeed. The engine block is a 7R block, also sporting a later oil drainage cover (indicating a 3.2 oil pump). Head lamp glass is AL..
All in all, a fantastic addition to the Museum collection!

Interesting use of banjo fittings for the left hand oil cooler lines. Not seen that before. Seems to me that arrangement would reduce oil flow to this oil cooler.

Rear quarters done and panels going on now…
Yes the original Conda green ‘trim delete’ alu rear lid from a 2.3 ST will be resprayed in Tangerine to match the rest but it’s almost too perfect as it is with sponsor decal adhesive still evident across the full width of it.
