Does anyone have one of these in good condition please? I think mine must have taken a hit at some point and I’d like to get a better one for Sam to chromate and fit to my work-of-art gearbox as a finishing touch…
A bit of corrosion is okay, just not damaged.

I do have a magnesium cover which has little corrosion. It does not have studs attached although it will take a stud in each hole albeit that there is not full thread on 2 of the holes. I think you would want to use an insert if that is possible, but look at the pictures attached. I have not cleaned up, but will do so if it is of interest.

However I think I will keep looking for one with the studs intact - a NOS one would be justified for such an incredible job Sam has done on my gearbox.

Huge thanks to Mike Bainbridge for supplying a cover in excellent condition for an old magnesium part and for a very reasonable price, and for some very useful observations on my gearbox photos too!
