I use Castrol GTX - either 15w/40w or 20w/50w

Same here, no point spending money on the ultra thin synthetics, it just leaks out off all the gaps and our engines were designed to run on this standard grade mineral oil. :)

I've been using Castrol 20W/50 but my next change will be Castrol 15W/40 Magnetix.

Any of you 911 guys tried Penrite 20/50? I use it in my 914 - really excellent.

I use fully synthetic in my 2.4S

2004 I used Mobil1 15/40 I think. I must be having a blank moment as I can't actually remember the grade.

2005 I have used Silkolene fully synthetic, same grade as my Mobil1.

For 2006 I am going back to Mobil1.

Do not use the 5/40 as that is far too thin
