I just don't understand why anyone would want to spend £100k plus on an electric conversion at this stage. Policy is showing us classics are going to be exempt in clean air zones, even France will eventually sort us a crit-air sticker out. At some point petrol will become unaffordable, but when? 20 years? hopefully by then e-fuel will be available, or at least electric conversions will surely be more cost effective.

He makes two points - the brakes aren’t as good as on a new 911 and the engine isn’t as smooth as a new 911.

Imagine that.

He’s obviously a young journo, so maybe it’s wrong to expect too much, but what a missed opportunity.

Mechanically this is essentially a 3.2 G50 with a twin plug conversion. If the original really was an E series as the article claims, I imagine there was a 1988 donor car.
