They’re the nicest car I’ve driven, but I’m ashamed to say a set of four tyres on the 718 only lasted 12,500. The 981s is far less powerful, so should do better.911hillclimber wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 7:03 pm Lovely.
Took the wife to Portmeirion on Thursday in the 987.2, what a nice day Ina very nice car.
New rear tyres on Friday, last set a stunning 20k Miles.
Obviously need to drive a bit more 'hoooligan'

I few years about a gentleman contacted me about my soft window, and came around to have a look, as he was having a S restored by AutoFarm. I wonder if this is the same carBILLY BEAN wrote:1968 SWB Soft Window S. Belongs to a friend. European specification but delivered to Canada and was used as a club race car at one point in time. 911 took me to a local clubbie hillclimb close to Wales, blistering hot, but ran there and back better than it ever has run in 32 years! Fabulous!

If it was a Cobra or a D-Type, that’s the makings of at least three genuine factory race cars right there, all with impeccable provenance…
