1970 jack has VW logo, correct?

A week or so back I picked up what I believe to be a correct 1970 911 jack as mine was missing. The original item has a VW logo, correct? I read that somewhere, possibly on early911sregistry but can anybody here corroborate?

Dirk Schafer has told me that the DBP type jack (as supplied up to 12/71) did have the VW logo stamped on it but says the Samba-type base on the one in this link

As far as I'm aware there is no 100% certainty as to the cut-off dates when a particular jack (& exact toolkit contents) were supplied.

There are 'general' rules of thumb but typically when a particular car arrived at the supplying Dealer it was only just before being collected by the customer that a jack & toolkit were put into the car.

Hence there are always 'anomalies' ... & it doesn't only apply to jacks & tools - Porsche never expected owners to worry about such things 50 years in the future !

What I was trying to convey is that there are instances when someone will tell you that such & such a part is incorrect for your car when, in fact, the only way to be 100% sure is that if you have owned a car from new.

Exceptions to the 'accepted wisdom' happened ... especially with 'separate' parts such as jacks, toolkits, spare wheels, etc.
