Rear bumper end caps - 1972 Coupe

Post by Gary71 »

Wanted: Rear bumper end caps that go behind the wheel. I’ve bought new ‘classic line’ ones and I think they were designed for a different car...

Need something to fill the hole whilst I save for the OE parts! :)

You're not wrong. One came on a delivery in lieu of the original.

I've the set that came off. Will get pictures in the morning.

Thanks for the message, don’t worry though I’ve spent a hour per side getting them to ‘fit’.

I had to completely change the positions of the radii and form, luckily the shiny side seems quite resistant to repeated hammering!

I’d hope the OE ones are better, but they are 3x the price :)

Ah those sound like a proper pain.
Production of those sound a bit random then as when I held it up to the bumper end it slotted on OK albeit with a bit of a twist needed and with a hole in the wrong spot.
