Hi All,
I am am in the final throws of fitting out the car and put the seats in today, but it didnt go to plan.
Its a 1971 car and the seat width (measured across the centre of the rails is 18".(both are the same). This seems to be standard, I bought them as part of an interior set I bought from a LHD 1971 car so I think they are correct.
In the car I have the slotted piece on the centre tunnel and then on the sill side the rails that are bolted to the mounts inside the sill. The seat rails line up with the holes in the slotted piece no problem.
The problem is when i put the seat in and bolt it to the tunnel side it is about 1/2" too wide on the sill side. It wont go across anymore as the piece that goes in the slotted piece will not go any closer to the slotted piece.
I have looked on the web and can not see any pieces that are different on a SWB car and most of the pieces seem to be compatible 65 to 73.
Has anyone come across this before?

Hi Andy,
Yes just like that (without the electrical connector!)
The seat rail holes are 10mm wider than the space between the tunnel and sill
I think I will unbolt the seat mount on the sill side tonight and see if I can see anything that gives me a clue as to what has happened. Worst case I can narrow that bolt on piece into the sill, it will be a bit awkward but better than having no seat

So I sussed this out when I took it apart. The captive nuts on the sill mounting area are in slots so you can move the rail in and out to change the width.
BUT the URO repro one has too much material on the sill side and that stops you from moving it close to the sill. The original one I have on the other side is narrower and allows you to use the slot properly. Anyway all sorted but for those who use the URO rail you may need to do some adjustment!
