Front and rear screens for 71 911s

Hi All,

I am getting ever closer to completion of my 911s. Wondering if anyone can provide any help on front and rear screens.

The car is signal orange and side windows are a green/blue tint.

I had a guy that has fitted some screens in other cars and seems pretty efficient, but he says he cant obtain a rear screen and fronts are on 3 months delivery.

2 questions:

1) Should front and rear screens be tinted or just clear
2) Anyone got any good sources of these, it looks like design911 have rear screens, with heating elements which I want

I recently fitted a heated front screen from Ricky Evans Motorsport £300 and delivered in a few days.

I managed to re-use the rear one after a good clean!

Oh and all the glass in my ‘72 was clear. I’m not sure about the options at the time.

National Windscreens supplied my front screen (Sekurit) and Porsche supplied the rear for my 73 car.

Id be 99% sure your front and rear screens would be tinted also. Often over the years if they ever need replacing owners would put in the easiest available replacement screen which is often clear. I've had a couple of cars with tinted glass all around but an incorrect clear replacement windscreen.

Seeing as my side windows are tinted looks like I need a tinted front and back.

I have a tinted green rear,from 78 sc available currently on Ebay at £225

bought front and back screens with green tint and rear heated for very sensible money, seems like a really nice guy, plan to pick up in the next week

I got them from Ricky Evans Motorsport, he had one non heated green front left, and heated green rear. Haven't got them yet so cant verify if they are ok but he says he delivers to deign911 so fingers crossed
