Bidding with alcohol in hand can be bad news, I know from experience! Just about got away with it

Did you buy it Rob?
I was surprised it reached £35k (+18%) but I didn't go back to see what it ended at. I think somebody got a lovely car but for that money I'd want better. There's no such thing as a cheap pre-impact bumper car nowadays. I paid £26k for my pretty solid 1970 911T last year and everything I see tells me it was bargain of the decade. People are paying £35k+ for basket cases.
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

This is so bad it’s good:

The colour scheme. The fact it’s a 2.7. And a cab. The single mirror. The clear rear lenses.

I would love to cruise this round town on a summer night. Wayfarers on. Top down. System up.

What a thing!

I suspect the buyer doesn't know what they're getting themselves into. Maybe they will end up here.
I think this is the car:
