Best practical way to Twn Spark ignition 911 engine?

I’ve had several sets of Magnicore leads made in Uk Graham…..£450 for 12 incl coil leads…..never a problem with them, quick to deliver and in UK if problems

Found 2 cable suppliers in the UK willing to sell a whole length for DIY build. Cable is £3/meter, possibly 12 meters needed, so cheap!
Have to get the plug caps.

Be interesting to see how you get on with the leads …. My 12 leads that are on their way from the states have managed to go missing

Sparkplugs.co.uk sell branded cable (beru & others) and the connectors.

Greenspark have the equivalent lead material, any length I ask for.
£3 a meter.
As to the 6 extra plug caps I need...
At type911 you can buy just the caps, £20 each plus everything.
Same place, You can buy a complete lead set for a 73 for about £85, nearly £40 cheaper..

Even less on design911, so buy a complete set, remove the plug caps, chuck the rest.

Awaiting a shipping detail sheet from Clewett, as ever, not looking good.

It seems hard to see a neat way to wire the ignition on this engine, the leads will be all over the place.
Hope it will become neater when I have everything in place.
Time for a 3rd reminder tomorrow to Clewett chasing parts that were supposed to be in stock.

Clewett system and bits shipped out yesterday. Told to pay $38 more for Fed Ex as UPS have been unreliable of late.
Might explain your losses James?

If you end up making your only leads, do let us know how you get on with the crimp tool for brass terminals on the cap end. I have yet to find any tool supplied with DIY lead kits that makes a good job of the crimp. As an electronics professional, some of our crimp tools cost several hundred pounds for good reason - they work. It actually might be more reliable to have the leads professionally made as the crimps will be done with a decent tool.

Also be aware that the some of the crimps on Beru leads are too big to fit the Bosch cap. Either they fitted the wrong terminals or the tolerances have changed. Either way, check one lead in the cap before you make all 13 leads!

Thank you as ever with your help. I'm aware of the troublesome terminal crimp.

The Clewett pack includes the terminals for the coils, so they are the right size for the packs, but I do not have the tool to crimp yet.
Accupark sell a very cheap plastic almost one-use tool to crimp the distributor tube terminals, but for a £5 note, seems too good to be true.

Will have a look on ebay, but I have several ignition companies around me for classic cars so might cut the leads to the custom lengths and take the lot to one of them to crimp the Clewett ends for me.
Clewett package on it's way, all monies paid ( ) should be here by next Thursday.

Made the coil pack brackets today to try to hide the 'modern' mass of wires.
There seems to way to cleanly route all the 12 plug leads, they all cross over.
