Re: Workshop clearout - All parts can be handed over at swap

Post by AndrewSlater »

Andy is spot on ( again ) - my '74 car has a revised loom with a single plug to fit the '006' coil. A lot of people cut them off to allow them to use a '001' coil.
The coil for sale is a '008' with the connectors close together as per the picture.

Thanks Al, glad it arrived safely.

Look forward to seeing photos of your finished shell - hope it won't be long.

Could I have second dibs on 29 - light surrounds and 32 - rear 1/4 interior panels incase they fall through.

Thanks

Hi, Can I please buy:
The right hand door Jamb if Sean doesn't come through with the cash or doesn't need it.
Item 16: Hella lamp(s) if one is left or if buyer doesn't come through for the other one.
Item 32: rear quarter panels if buyer doesn't come through (I have a pair but it looks like yours will accommodate inertia reels, right?
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Hi Rob,

should Sean not want the door jamb I'll mark you down as second dibs.
I'll reserve the top entry Hella fog lamp for you.
As for the rear quarter panels, you would be 3rd dibs ( that probably translates to 'don't hold your breath' but you never know )

Thanks

Hi, 1 and 3 together will give me a couple of small steering wheel options for my 1970 911T, right? As I assume the boss would fit the car, and both the rims fit the boss. If so, can I take those please?

.

The 914 hub/boss fitted to s/wheel no.1 won't fit a '65-'73 911 ...

Hi Rob,

I don't think the boss from 1) will fit wheel 3), and also not sure if that boss will fit a 911.
Andy doesn't seem to think so in his post - and don't tell him I said this, but he's rarely wrong.

Items 5) and 1) would work together on your car - you would simply need to reuse your own cancellation ring and chose a new horn push.

Would you like me to reserve them and bring them for you tomorrow to have a look at?
All the best
Andrew

yes, please. I've a hunch 1 will be too small but at that price I've nothing to lose giving it a try

Are bosses available to fit (5) to a 911? As that looks like the size I want tbh. You said you were going to fit it to your 912 - I'm guessing that has same fittings as a 911.
