Parts wanted - attending swap meet

Post by RobFrost »

Here are some of the bits i'd like to acquire for my 1970 911T. Please let me know if you want to bring any to the swap meet:

Door pockets
Front indicator/sidelight lenses
Horns
LHD floorboards / footplates
Front bumper's a bit mis-shapen
Radio
Dashboard top - not cracked
Front boot carpets
Tool kit parts - screwdrivers, etc.
Longer term: E Cams

Whatever goes in the offside passenger footwell in a LHD car here:

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

In my car at least that area is closed of with metal that’s part of the bulkhead. Has its been cut out for a heater installation or something?

At least two people here appear to have a smaller hole than I, formerly used for air conditioning:

And at least one has removed air con or a heater and has a big hole like mine:

Maybe as you say it's simply a case of weld it up for extra rigidity.

Agree, that hole should be solid, hence the phrase 'smuggler's box'.
I well remember cutting mine out for the RHD conversion....
73T 911 Coupe, road/hillclimber 3.2L
Lola t 492 / 3.2 hillclimb racer
Boxster 987 Gen II 2.9

The idea of the RHD conversion keeps tempting me. Do you recommend it, or not?
