Rear pop out windows rebuild help

Post by Jonnydaz53 »

Hi all I am rebuilding the rear pop out windows , so the question is regarding the seal that goes between the glass and the frame should I use any flexible black sealant between the glass and the seal or the seal and the frame or both ? . On strip down I did notice some sealant in there but j would like to know the process.

Thanks

Hi, I re-built mine recently after dismantling, polishing and re-anodising. Put it together with no sealant, they are quite a snug fit. No leaks.
Others may have different experience, but this is mine. HTH. Ian

I didn't use any sealant. The new rubbers were a very snug fit.
