H1 lamp parts?
Does anyone know a source for H1 headlamp parts? I need the little rubber grommets that hold everything in place, the spade-shaped steel inserts that go into them, and one of the long flexible screws that doubles back on itself to adjust one of the beams.
I don't think the diagram here even shows these parts: https://www.design911.co.uk/pages/diagr ... ramID=1498
Got a feeling I'll be making unobtainium on the crafting table shortly.

2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

You find most of what you require from an early VW Beetle spares supplier.RobFrost wrote:Does anyone know a source for H1 headlamp parts? Sadly karmann connection said the beetle ones don't have those parts in. Looks like I'll be making something.BILLY BEAN wrote:You find most of what you require from an early VW Beetle spares supplier.RobFrost wrote:Does anyone know a source for H1 headlamp parts? Re: H1 lamp parts?
I have H1 headlights and had to replace parts. An early Beetle parts specialist like Custom and Commercial. I would not look at Karmann Connection who don't have much early Beetle stuff. Custom and Commercial have the rubber bungs you require and the spade pieces. Look under sloping headlights.RobFrost wrote:Sadly karmann connection said the beetle ones don't have those parts in. Like Kirk and Paul said. Beetle stuff, available in many places.BILLY BEAN wrote: I have H1 headlights and had to replace parts. An early Beetle parts specialist like Custom and Commercial. Eg C&C, or indeed Heritage (DDK sponsor if I remember rightly):

Aha, the bendy bolt comes as part of the ring. That staggered bracket attached to the smaller reflector, I manufactured my own in the garage last weekend. I could have saved myself the workPMNorris wrote:I bought them on eBay
