That’s lovely. I was an Escort man but a mate had a Mark 2 JPS Capri at college and I loved it. Would love a Mk 3 3.0 S. I have seen a few with those slightly larger wheels than they were in the day and they look the business. Perfect

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
All of mine were 1.6L's, too poor for anything greater!
Hankered at the time for an LS.
This green one followed us into Oulton, and it looked spot-on to say the least.
Such great cars from the 80's for 'normal' people.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I tried to get my Dad to get an LS from the co car list, and then an early carbed XR3. Neither plan worked, he got Cortina mk5 estate and then base model (black grill) Sierra estate respectively. I was not impressed.
My kids don’t know how lucky they are!
That is lovely, assume a 3.0 as think the 2.0 had a single exhaust on the left, but I’m not a geek or anything….

I had a 2 litre JPS in the 90s. KWC58P or similar. Drifted it everywhere. Before it was called drifting. Happy times.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I had a red Capri 2.0S company car - the stripey seats were terrific!
I remember it cost the same or less than a 2.0 Cortina but wasn’t on “the list” but I persuaded the boss to go with it, it then the other sales guys all bought them when they came to replace so we ended up with four or five in every available colour.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
As a VW Scirocco guy in period, we used to call Capris 'Cortinas in drag' (ignoring the fact that Sciroccos were Golfs in drag - but at least the Golf was a good car...).
At the time the only Capris I liked were those from Zakspeed!

But I do reluctantly admit seeing a Capri today does make me smile...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
As a kid, mum and dad had a 1.6 Lazer, then a 2.0S (in the same green as the original photo above) and finally a 2.8 injection. I only got to drive the 2.8 as i wasnt old enough when they had the others. Fantastic car, tons of power, smooth delivery and that oh so long bonnet.....
