Indicator relay position.
I am having an issue correctly locating the indicator relay as a google search is a bit vague . Does its replacement have to be a specific 4 post relay or a 3 post ?

Re: Indicator relay position.
the relay on my 73T is reached for removal by pulling the clock out and the relay is sitting right there.
The rubber base id located in a hole in the inner dash and if you pull it all out of the location you can get the relay out of the base. It is NOT and easy pull-out fit!
Your year could easily be different.

Re: Indicator relay position.
Thank you for the information, I was hoping that its would be in the bonnet or boot area but will check behind the clock.

Re: Indicator relay position.
You can also get access to it from the front bonnet, behind the fan cover.
I think 1970MY is a 4 post relay and some replacement ones work fine. I know later model years, including my 73, have a flashing handbrake lamp when the handbrake is pulled but I don't think this is the case for 1970MY. I bought a 4 post relay from Eurocarparts but it wasn't suitable for 1973MY due to this handbrake lamp feature. It should be fine for 1970MY though.
I have the relay somewhere. I will dig it out and send you a PM.
Kind regards
Gitesh

Re: Indicator relay position.
Thank you Gitesh, your approach might make it easier for access so I will try that first and thank you for your observations about the 4 lug relay.
