Durant Door Mirror query

Post by fcd911 »

Hi

I have just dismantled a Durant door mirror as it was not staying in the set position. From previously fixing this problem on other Durant Mirrors I recall that there is a spring under the adjustment nut to keep the Mirror in tension. Is this correct? This one had 2 slotted nuts fitted – one locking the other in place and no spring.

Which is correct?

Thanks in advance

John

Cheers Graham

Found a suitable spring, all back together, fitted to my refurbed door and staying where positioned.

Excellent
